The Healthier Workforce Center (HWC) of the Midwest and OSHA Region VII (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska) formed a formal alliance in March 2021 establishing a collaborative relationship to address behavioral health in the workplace. The two organizations are partnering to address mental health and substance use issues by providing information, guidance, and access to training resources to protect workers. In addition, these resources are designed to help workers and companies understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act). OSHA’s support of the HWC mission is an innovative approach to reach more employees and employers and promote workplace safety, health, and well-being.
