The presenters will share firsthand experiences of what can go wrong during these operations and how a company can protect itself and its employees. Training requirements and options will be explored, along with common best practices. In addition, we will delve into the regulatory requirements for each operation including general requirements, soil classification, sloping and benching, timber shoring for trenches, aluminum hydraulic shoring, alternatives to timber shoring, selection of PPE. There will be specific examples provided, along with case studies from rescue and prevention.
