This course teaches skills that one needs to know in order to provide immediate care for a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives. The hands-on skills training provides knowledge and confidence needed to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, and how to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Successful attendees will receive a certificate valid for two years.
These courses will meet and exceed the OSHA 1926 competent person definition. Upon completion participants will have demonstrated the knowledge required for employers to designate them as competent person in the designated task.
