Job Description: To further the association’s focus on the efficient use of member time, the Board of Directors established a strategic initiative called the Leadership Pool. The concept behind the leadership pool is to recruit interested volunteers from member firms who would make themselves available to serve on task forces to help achieve specific association or industry objectives. Compared to standing committees who meet throughout the year on a regularly scheduled basis, task force participants recruited from the leadership pool are informed ahead of time as to the nature of the task, the estimated number of meetings anticipated and the objectives to be accomplished. Upon completion of the specific tasks or objectives, the volunteers then return to the leadership pool until another request stirs their interest, offers a special learning opportunity, or falls within their area of expertise.
