Every other month, we host a “Breakfast Club” networking session for our members that includes a brief program from a featured guest. This five-day event will offer competent person training in Qualified Rigger & Signal Person; Trenching & Excavating; Scaffold; Confined Space; and Fall Protection. One can be trained in all five facets or the offering of their choosing. These sponsorship opportunities will allow for face time and product interaction with individuals representing a diverse audience of construction professionals.

This course offers 4 separate sponsorship opportunities to get your organization in front of executive-level leaders from 20 different companies. Each session includes a class dinner where the sponsoring organization can send 2 representatives to network with class participants as well as give a short talk about who they are and what they offer. The sponsorship also gives you the opportunity to distribute material to the class and gives you recognition in all of MBI’s news correspondence. 

MBI LIVE

MBI provides our entire complement of MBI LIVE online trainings at NO CHARGE to employees of MBI members in good standing. From the Microsoft Suite to Procore to Bluebeam, we have served over 1,800 participants since September of 2024. And again, all of these classes were made available - at NO CHARGE - to any employee of an MBI member company. We also offered Master Builder Designation credits for these sessions to enhance the learning for all.

In an effort to recognize individuals in the industry who believe in the importance of life-long learning and have demonstrated their personal growth through their participation in the wide array of education and training activities offered by MBI, we established the Master Builder Designation program. This program recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated a work history in the commercial construction industry and have been an active participant in the education and training offerings of MBI.

This field leadership development program is designed to provide attendees with a host of tools and information to help them excel as leaders in the areas of leadership, risk management, communication, and personal effectiveness. Leading a team, crew, or group of individuals in a commercial construction project environment takes an exceptional person with the right skill set and personality, along with construction knowledge and awareness. Leaders in the field must be able to manage time, equipment, materials, and most importantly, people. This program will provide the tools and help develop the skills of attendees in becoming successful leaders.

MBI Annual Winter Conference

The Annual Winter Conference offers professional development leadership and safety training opportunities that encompass a broad range of subjects with high-quality, experienced presenters. The conference also plays host to all of the association’s awards presentations, a trade show and the annual membership meeting.

MBI BuildHer

MBI BuildHer is about strengthening and uplifting women connected to the commercial construction industry. Bringing together aspiring, emerging and experienced women with everyday influence, to know and activate their purpose, to gain benefit from the learning and mentorship of others and to create strong relationships and connections.

This construction leadership development program is designed to introduce attendees to several facets of the commercial construction industry, while providing them with a wealth of valuable information and priceless resources. A solid understanding of the topics included in this program are vital to the success of every commercial construction company, therefore also critical for the success of the employees who are part of these firms. This is an excellent opportunity to see a detailed overview of many important aspects of the commercial construction industry, as well as receive fundamental information. 

MBI-PAC Construction Golf Classic & Smoker

The Construction Golf Classic and Smoker has grown into the premiere fundraiser for the MBI-PAC. MBI-PAC Sporting Clay Builders' Classic

2025 MBI-PAC Sporting Clay Builders' Classic Date & Location - TBD

The MBI-PAC Sporting Clay Builders’ Classic continues in the great MBI tradition of bringing together industry colleagues for a day of construction camaraderie. This event benefits the MBI-PAC and the continued efforts to support pro-business, pro-construction policymakers. Teams of five shooters test their shooting accuracy and skills using a Sporting Clay format. There are two separate events with separate sponsorship opportunities for each location.

Checks should be made out to the MBI Industry Advocacy Fund. Contributions to the MBI Industry Advocacy Fund (a 501c4) are not tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.

Project Managers and Project Superintendents: A High Performing Leadership Series

Regional Membership Meetings

Regional Membership Meetings are luncheon and breakfast meetings for the membership held annually in different locations around the state. These meetings are held to have face time with the membership to introduce new initiatives, services and provide important membership updates and reports.

The Wellness Connection
